Brede Toolbox"Brede Toolbox" is a neuroinformatics toolbox primarily written in the Matlab language running under matlab 6.0 or later. Its primary purposes are handling, analyzing and visualizing data from functional neuroimaging experiments, - not the original data but rather the summary images (e.g., statistical parametric images) and location data in stereotaxic space. It includes a number of general purpose analysis algorithm, e.g., independent component analysis and non-negative matrix factorization, text and link analysis, probabilistic modeling of activation foci (a la Peter T. Fox's "functional volumes modeling"), visualization of multiple foci, volumes and/or surfaces in a 3-dimensional Corner Cube visualization or visualization with the VRML97 3-dimensional model language.
The Brede Toolbox also contains the Brede Database as XML-files. This includes a brain region taxonomy, a cognitive component taxonomy and information from published scientific articles with Talairach coordinates. These XML-files as well as automatically generated static HTML web-pages with the information from the database rerepresented and analyzed are available from the Brede Database web-pages. The files on this web-site might be more recent than the files distributed in the Brede neuroinformatics toolbox.
